In 1979, the East Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference was founded by the petrochemical associations of Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Senior leaders from across the region gathered to discuss the issues shaping the industry, with hosting responsibilities shared on a rotational basis.
From EAPIC to APIC
In 2000, membership was opened to other major petrochemical associations across Asia and the conference was renamed the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference. APIC has since become an established forum for exchanging information, addressing shared concerns and building professional relationships across the global petrochemical community.
Our objective
APIC promotes friendship and goodwill among petrochemical industry participants in Asia and around the world, contributing to the advancement of the industry throughout the region.
